    Areas of Focus

I have a primary focus and special interest in helping clients cope with triggers due to Childhood PTSD and adverse childhood experiences.  I work with ages 12+ and enjoy working with teens and young adults who struggle with anger/rage and guide them to find closure about their abusive/dysfunctional past; rebuild their identity and self-esteem; and create a healthy outlook for their future.
I use my training in Mindfulness-based therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to help clients release repressed and otherwise stuck memories/experiences, so they can regain power and control over their own lives once and for all.  I also work with couples by helping them understand how their pasts affect the way they react to one another’s behavior and guiding them through a set of open-ended questions to truly get to know each other all over again.

I am a licensed professional counselor and certified trauma professional.   I received my Bachelor of Art in Psychology from Argosy University in Phoenix, Arizona and my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Keiser University in Tampa, Florida.  I am now an LPC and am working towards getting clinically licensed under the supervision of Kari Vitosh.

I accept BCBSKS, Medicaid -Sunflower, Aetna & UHC and cash pay.
